Integrations

Connect, track, and cost every project in real time

Our integrations allow for seamless synchronisation between Workbench and the accounting and payroll systems you already use.

Built for civil and trade contractors since 1996, over 30 years.

Award and EBA interpretation is built in, and Workbench will not export a pay run it cannot fully code.

Over 400 customers across Australia and New Zealand use Workbench.

Xero

Close month end faster, with the job detail you don't have today. Post job costs, subcontractor payments and revenue to Xero, and send crew hours to Xero Payroll without double entry.

Accounting & ERP Payroll

MYOB AccountRight

Know who's been paid and who has paid you, without opening the ledger. Invoices, credits, journals and crew hours post into MYOB AccountRight, and payments, receipts and your client and supplier lists come back into Workbench, so nobody updates two systems by hand.

Accounting & ERP Payroll

MYOB Acumatica

Close month end and run payroll off one connection. Post costs, and revenue to MYOB Acumatica, and send crew hours to payroll without double entry.

Accounting & ERP Payroll

MYOB Exo

Post costs, and revenue from Workbench to MYOB Exo. Month end closes in MYOB with the project detail that's not in the ledger today, and you never double-enter another cost.

Accounting & ERP

Payapps

Know your project margins as claims happen. Import your claim schedule, track submitted and certified claims in one place, and sync straight to your accounting system.

Progress claims

Microsoft Dynamics 365

Business Central

Connect Workbench to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Your month end runs in Dynamics with the project financials the ledger doesn't hold.

Accounting & ERP

Sage Intacct

Invoices and credits post to Sage Intacct with their attachments, and payments come back, so nobody re-enters what has been paid.

Accounting & ERP

SAP Business One

Post job costs and transactions from Workbench to SAP. See job profitability in Workbench and run financial reporting in SAP, with everything reconciled automatically.

Accounting & ERP

Wiise

formerly MYOB Business Central

Connect Workbench to Wiise for accounting and payroll in one integration. Run your projects in Workbench and close your books in Wiise, with both systems in sync and crew hours flowing to payroll without double entry.

Accounting & ERP

Employment Hero Payroll

formerly KeyPay

Export timesheets from Workbench to Employment Hero Payroll. Crew hours flow to payroll with award interpretation applied, and the cost is already sitting against the job, so nobody rebuilds it in a spreadsheet afterwards.

Payroll

MicrOpay

The Access Group

Export timesheets to MicrOpay with award and EBA interpretation done. The hours reach payroll ready to process, and you never reconcile job costs against payroll again.

Payroll

WageEasy

The Access Group

Send Workbench timesheets to WageEasy with award rates already applied. Your labour cost is against the job before the pay run starts, and the same hours pay the crew, so nobody enters them twice.

Payroll

HR3

ReadyTech

Export job timesheets to HR3 payroll with award interpretation done in Workbench. The hours reach payroll ready to process, and you never reconcile job costs against payroll again.

Payroll

Sybiz Visipay

Export timesheets to Sybiz Visipay with award interpretation done. The hours reach payroll ready to process, and you never reconcile job costs against payroll again.

Payroll

iPayroll

Export crew hours to iPayroll with rates and allowances already applied. Payroll runs without manual adjustments, and the job already carries the cost of those hours, so you are not waiting on the pay run to see where it sits.

Payroll

PayHero

formerly FlexiTime

Send Workbench timesheets to PayHero in a click. The crew gets paid from the same hours that costed the job, so nobody keeps a spreadsheet to join the two together.

Payroll

IMS Payroll

MYOB

Export timesheets to IMS Payroll. The hours reach payroll ready to process, and you never reconcile job costs against payroll again.

Payroll

SmartPayroll

now Smartly

Easily send job timesheets to SmartPayroll. The crew gets paid correctly, and because the rate was worked out in Workbench, the job is costed before the pay run leaves.

Payroll

Able Payroll

Export Workbench timesheets to Able Payroll in Papua New Guinea. The hours reach payroll ready to process, and the job was costed the moment they were approved.

Payroll

Benchmark Estimating

Import an accepted estimate from Benchmark as the job budget. The cost plan that won the work becomes your project budget without re-entering it.

Estimating

VisionLink

Caterpillar

Sync your machine hours and location to Workbench automatically to get daily visibility of the state of your plant.

Telematics

IntelliTrac

The same daily feed of hours and location, so every machine you track reports itself without anyone chasing it.

Telematics

Cost lands on the job when it is committed rather than when it is invoiced

A purchase order raised on site is against the job the moment it is raised. Timesheets, plant and subcontractor claims price the same way. What reaches your finance system is a coded, approved transaction rather than a pile of dockets to sort at month end. The audit trail runs from site to ledger.

Finance stays in Xero, MYOB, Sage Intacct or SAP Business One
Payroll stays in the system that pays the crew
Estimating stays where the job was priced
Workbench takes the operational layer between them

Every system named above stays where it is. A demo walks through the layer that runs between them.

Questions buyers ask about Workbench integrations

Does Workbench integrate with Xero?

Yes. Workbench posts costs, purchase orders, subcontractor payments and revenue to Xero, and exports timesheets to Xero Payroll, so job level detail stays in Workbench and both the ledger and payroll run in Xero.

Does Workbench work with MYOB?

Yes. Workbench connects to MYOB Acumatica (formerly MYOB Advanced) and MYOB Exo. Acumatica also receives payroll from Workbench, so a business running MYOB for both finance and payroll connects once.

Which payroll systems does Workbench support?

Twelve, across three countries. In Australia: Employment Hero Payroll (formerly KeyPay), MYOB Acumatica, MicrOpay, WageEasy, HR3 and Sybiz Visipay. In New Zealand: iPayroll, PayHero (formerly FlexiTime), IMS Payroll and SmartPayroll. In Papua New Guinea: Able Payroll. Xero Payroll runs in both Australia and New Zealand.

What does a payroll export actually carry?

Each export is built from a locked batch of approved timesheets for one pay period. It carries the employee, the pay period, the pay item, the hours or units worked and the date worked. Some systems also take the cost centre, leave as its own record, allowances separated from worked time, or actual shift times. Workbench will not export a batch where a line has no payroll code, so an incorrect pay run is stopped before it reaches payroll.

Do we have to replace our ERP to use Workbench?

No. Workbench is built to sit alongside an existing ERP. Businesses running SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage Intacct or Wiise keep them and add Workbench as the construction operations layer.

Does Workbench handle EBA and award interpretation?

Yes. Enterprise agreement (EBA) and award interpretation runs inside Workbench, so labour costs land on the job at the correct rate and the payroll export is already interpreted.

What if the system we run is not listed?

Tell us what it is. Workbench has been building connections into finance and payroll systems for project based businesses since 1996, and the list above is the set in production today.
