  1. Request a demo

    Talk through how your books are set up.

  2. Create the cost centre

    The integration needs a cost centre, and only the MYOB AccountRight desktop app can create one.

  3. Test the connection

    Online, you sign in, allow access and press Test, so a failed connection shows up before the first export.

  4. Match your codes

    Workbench lists customer, supplier and GL codes MYOB AccountRight doesn't have, so you can fix them.

Questions about Workbench and MYOB AccountRight

Will finance have to leave MYOB AccountRight?

No. Your general ledger, banking and pay run stay in MYOB AccountRight. Add new customers and suppliers there first, and raise invoices in Workbench.

Will we still enter invoices twice?

No. Raise invoices in Workbench and export them to MYOB AccountRight, so you do not type them in again. Workbench needs to be the only source of invoices, because a matching invoice number already in MYOB AccountRight blocks the export.

Will this change how payroll runs?

No. The pay run stays in MYOB AccountRight, and you export timesheets to it for Australian and New Zealand payroll. Wages categories must match your Workbench payroll codes exactly, and each employee number must match its card ID.

How current is the payment status in Workbench?

As current as the last import. The Monday import brings payments and receipts, customers and suppliers, GL accounts and leave balances. Press Import if you cannot wait for Monday. Finance and System Admin roles have the button by default.

Which MYOB AccountRight editions are supported?

Plus and Premier, online or on your own server. Premier V19 cannot connect, because it has no API service for Workbench to use.

Is the connection available on Lite and Standard?

Yes. Workbench Lite and Standard plans both connect to MYOB AccountRight.
